Movie Reviews

1.27.2009

There hasn't been that many movies out lately that are worth seeing. Here are just a few of the ones that I saw recently that are worth checking out.

Paul Blart Mall Cop made me laugh out loud from beginning to end. I am a big fan of Kevin James. I have been following his career since his stand up days. I was disappointed when King of Queens ended, but it is nice to see him doing movies now. I didn't care to much for Chuck and Larry but I liked him in Hitch.

Yes Man was a lot of fun. It was nice to see Jim Carrey in a fresh new comedy instead of just hearing his voice in a cartoon. I don't know if this movie is still in theaters, but if you are a fan of Jim Carrey it is worth a rental.

The Wrestler is a documentary style movie of a wrestlers life. Some parts were tough to watch but it was a powerful movie. Mickey Rourke gives an unbelievable performance as Randy 'The Ram' Robinson in which he won a Golden Globe for Best Actor.

Hannah could be the next Gerber baby.

Julie Ann & Justin

1.19.2009
I had a wonderful time hanging out with Julie Ann and Justin in Boston for their engagement session. Their wedding reception is being held at The Liberty Hotel, which is such a beautiful place to host a wedding. Here are a few images from todays shoot. I will post some more later.

Oh and Justin, the Canon XS with the 18-55 lens would make a great starter camera for Jules. Click here for the link. This is the company I purchase all my camera gear from, BH Photo and Video. They are located in New York, great product, great customer service, and they don't charge you tax on any of their products.

I'm digging the shades and the awesome peace signs.

Trust in God

1.14.2009
I wanted to share an e-mail I received from a friend today. I don't usually share my faith on my blog, but this was to good to pass up the opportunity. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Revelations 3:8

When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let
go. Only 1 of 2 things will happen. Either He'll catch you when you
fall, or He'll teach you how to fly! 'The power of one sentence! God is
going to shift things around for you today and let things work in your
favor. If you believe, send it. If you don't believe, delete it. God
closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can close. If you
need God to open some doors for you... Have a
blessed day and remember to be a blessing...

Happy New Year

1.05.2009
Happy New Year to all of the wonderful couples I had the pleasure of photographing in 2008 and to all the friendly people who have been reading my blog. Thanks for all of your nice comments.

2008 was a great year but I have a feeling 2009 is going to be an even better year. To start off the new year I decided to hire a new photographer. I had the opportunity of sharing a delightful afternoon with this brilliant youngster. We took pictures, laughed, and even danced a little bit. I knew I had to hire her when she showed me what she could do with the Canon 5d and a 50mm lens. I was quite impressed. Here is a picture of her holding her camera.
