Always do your homework

5.23.2008
Always do your homework before you buy something. Yesterday I was at Best Buy looking at the digital cameras and one of their employees came up to me and asked me if I needed any help, I didn't need his help because I know which brand of cameras is the best (Canon or Nikon) but I wanted to see what he knew and what camera he would suggest I purchase. So I said yes.

I was looking at a Nikon point and shoot, even though I shoot Canon I was just browsing to see what Nikon was bringing to the table for point and shoots. He thought I knew nothing about cameras mainly because I told him I didn't, so I asked him what he thought about the Kodak digital camera that was sitting right next to the Nikon. What he told me shocked me, He said for someone who has never used a digital camera before I would recommend this to them because it's easy to use.

Easy to use? Canon point and shoots are one of the easiest cameras to use. Every camera I would look at he would direct me back to Kodak. If you are shopping for a digital camera stay away from Kodak. Why you ask? because they are known for making paper not cameras. The reason he kept telling me to go with a Kodak is because he shoots with a Kodak. People will only recommend what they know, he obviously had not done his homework and didn't know that Canon is one of the best camera making companies out there. To him Kodak was on top.

The camera I would recommend to any of you who are shopping for a nice point and shoot is the Canon SD1000 the SD1100IS or the Canon SD750. You can't go wrong with anything Canon, their Elph line is amazing. These take great images for around $200. I bring the SD1000 along with me when I go to family get togethers. If you want to spend a little bit more money be sure to check out the Canon G9. It's a cross between an SLR and a point and shoot.

Indiana Legos

5.22.2008
In honor of the release of Indiana Jones I thought I would post this video. some guys with way to much time on their hands. The best part is at the end when the guy playing Indy says "you think they'll notice." I don't think they saw that one coming.

It's here

5.21.2008

Grab your hat, grab your whip, grab your wallet, because tomorrow Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull opens in theaters.I can't say that I've followed this series because I was just being born around the time Raiders of the Lost Arc was being released,

though I have followed the career of Steven Spielberg who just happens to have directed some of my favorite movies. It wasn't until last year when I met Spielberg at Karin and Johns Wedding in New Haven CT, that I really started to follow his career a little more closely and appreciate all he has done for film.

Even at age 65 I think Harrison Ford as Dr. Jones has still got IT, and Spielberg keeps selling out theaters. Oh and for those of you who don't know, George Lucas is the creator of Indiana Jones, you know the guy who did that little (HUGE) movie series called Star Wars lol. For those of you who love Shia Labeouf, the young talented actor from Transformers, he is in this movie, so go and check it out tomorrow when it opens in theaters.

Beautiful

5.17.2008
I just wanted to add a picture of me holding my beautiful niece Hannah. For those of you who are curious as to what I have been up to lately, check out my twitter located at the bottom of my blog. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Succeed

I just saw this video and thought I would post it, it talks about people who have succeeded but were once told that they wouldn't. I feel like people who tell you that you won't succeed makes you drive even harder than you did before they told you, which makes you succeed. These people never gave up so why should you?

new order of the 4 seasons in New England

5.06.2008
So my brother came up with his order of the four season. No longer does it go Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. Here is the new order, it now goes
Winter
Spring
Second Winter
Second Spring
Third Winter
Summer
Fall
which only last for a week then back to Winter again. haha. If you live in New England you know what we are talking about. Californians might not understand this, they are constantly in Spring or Summer.
